China’s Envision Energy has launched construction works on its first manufacturing facility in Kazakhstan in a bid to cater to the region’s growing renewable energy demand. The factory will have an annual output of 2 GW of wind turbines and 1 GWh of energy storage systems.
[pdf] It serves as a rechargeable battery system capable of storing large amounts of energy generated from renewable sources like wind or solar power, as well as from the grid during low-demand periods. When needed, this stored energy can be discharged to provide a dependable electricity supply.
[pdf] The 1MW BESS systems utilize a 280Ah LFP cell and air cooling system which offers a better price to power ratio. Each BESS is on-grid ready making it an ideal solution for AC coupled commercial/industrial customers.
